Stopping In.........

It has been almost 2 months since I posted... and that is because I have not really been doing any crafting.  Just kind of lost my mojo, almost like my interest.  Then this week things were a little stressful so i thought I would sit down and make a card or two to relax- it worked!

So I went to my old faithful monthly challenge to kick start my mojo so this one is for Reverse Confetti December challenge.

A little FALL!

Winery Tour

This last weekend the hubby and I took off for up north to enjoy some of the last of the fall leaves and color and to visit some of the vineyards.  We tried a few of the Leelanau wineries and then finished up on Mission Point!  The pictures of the water, are they not beautiful?  I am hearing we might be getting some of the little white flakes.... Oh I do hope not!  Enjoy the few days.

Happy Halloween

Goodness where have I been?
I have been meaning to get to posting and have just put it off each day and I can not believe it has been over 2 months.  But I can say it was a very busy two months: sent my 2nd son off to school and adjusting to that.  I have also been doing some work on the weekends and we took a little weekend sprint up north to the wineries. So overall I kind of took a break and it was refreshing.

I have not really gotten back to regularly crafting but I did get some halloween cards done AND, listen ladies, wait for it- I mailed them out too!  I was so proud of myself.

So here is a little spookiness!  Tuck a little gift card in there and good to go. Wishing you all a wonderful spookilicious day!

Just a little confetti!

Where have I been?

Well I was without my computer for a bit and now I have a new one.  Then summer came and I just didn't do a darned thing for about 4 weeks, yep, just didn't do any crafting.

So I took some time to participate in the Reverse Confetti challenge again.
We got to use Navy, Red and Gold!!

Busy Birthday

I know, maybe it is a little busy?  But I set to making a card with alot of textures, designs and well I guess I was aiming for something a little busy.  It is the birthday card for my co-worker and I honestly do love how it turned out and she was quiet pleased.  I am not sure if you all have noticed that over the last few weeks I have made a few cards in this shape- it has been a fun little different size/shape for me.

The happy die is a new one that I just got and I am hoping to make some shakers out of it- just need to invest a little more time into them.  So for now- I hope you will enjoy and stop back!

Your Kindness

Hello Everyone!

Well I am still without a computer: at least at the time I posted this to my blog. I am trying to get a few posts done so I don't have to worry so much about it.  I can't believe it has been 3 weeks without my computer, I am alittle afraid I am getting used to it. (yikes!)  I think I am almost ready to make the purchase though!

So I thank you all for your kindness!

Different is Perfect

Ok, one last Reverse Confetti Card for the July Challenge.  I wanted to use a little different play on words with the sentiments from the Fabulous Flamingo set.  I love this set because of the sentiments and the versatility that you have with it.  Plus, come on those birds are adorable!

Enjoy your weekend all!

Unique = Perfect

Ok, so take one look at these yummy colors and what are your thoughts?  I just want to eat them up!  Aren't they gorgeous: coral check,  aqua check and lime check- all so sweet for the Reverse Confetti July color challenge.  I just had to make some more cards using these colors.  This is what I always do, find a color combo that I love and make 3-4 cards for my stash.  I love RC for doing all the work for me!  (shhh don't tell the gals though!)

So here is another of my humble cards and I say that because those girls over there can just knock those cards out of the park.  I desperately try and I do love mine, it just suites me I think. :)

Here I took the sweet little notes back ground and paired with the new little grid line die.  The sentiment is piecing words together from the set Fabulous Flamingos.  I hope you will stop on over and play along.

Bird-Day!

Hello all my friends.  I have not been regularly posting as I still do not have my own computer.  It is taking awhile trying to figure out WHAT I want and then how much money I want to spend.  So for the time being, I will try to keep up as much as possible.

But today I am posting a cute little card I made with some of my new goodies from Reverse Confetti.  The little flamingo and the slated card along with the bird-day stamp.  Is it not the cutest?  I am working on a couple others as well but this one if for the Reverse Confetti Color Challenge: Coral, Aqua, and Lime.

Thank you and have a great day!

Oh Hello R.C.

Ok, so this is my 2nd card that I did for the Reverse Confetti Sketch Challenge this month.  Since I have not had a computer I was not able to get it posted until now so I am doing both back to back.....

I am really loving these papers, the colors and prints on them.  But the pack is almost gone!

A little Reverse Confetti Note...

I have been without a computer for a week- my mother board crashed: seriously, does it not know I have stuff to do?  Now I have to decide if I am going to get a new laptop or a tablet.  I think that I want a tablet but those who know I blog say I will not be happy.  Any suggestions?  For now, my son is out and he said i could borrow his.......... thank you!  Withdrawals are difficult!

So I was able to at least post this photo- no editing though .  This is a sweet little number I did for the current sketch over at Reverse Confetti- (pst... they just had a new release too!)

You can see that I trimmed the far right side a little bit and then used my embosser to just do random dots.  The stamps are Reverse Confetti as is that cute little scallop frame.  The doily is Gina's Designs.  As you can see I am on a little "kick" with this taller size card...... just for a wee bit.

So thank you for stopping on over and go check out the sketch!

Oh HELLO Reverse Confetti!

Did I tell you how much I love the color challenge over at Reverse Confetti this month?  No?  Well I am tellin' you I LUV it!  Red, Aqua and Yellow, I could use it over and over.  This card still has the little embellishments but more on the clean side.  The stamp is R.C.  Inside I put just a little love note:

Come join us if you have some R.C.. stamps!

JustRite Color Challenge

Hello and Happy Sunday!
Today I got a little crafting time in, of course after I got the housework done, some laundry, and running errands.   I thought I would participate in the JustRite Color Challenge which this week is a color challenge.

I just love the vibrant colors and the combination for this color challenge. How could you not, it is so summery and happy.  You could definately use this for a birthday card as well- so here is the card I made.

It has a lot of layers, a couple of spellbinders and JR stamps.  When the card is closed the white from the inside shows through so it looks really nice.

Celebrate your Birthday!!!

As the 4th of July holiday approaches I thought I would pull out my red whites and blues and make some cards.  I am not a huge "sender" of 4th of July cards so I chose to make this into a birthday card (I am sure someone I know has a birthday in July)  The sentiment is Stampin Up!

A little Reverse Confetti Monday!!!!

Welcome Everyone!  Today was my day to play with my stamps and play along with the RC Color Challenge.  When I saw the colors that I got to play with I was so excited, they just looked so beautiful together!  Agua, red and then yellow!  What do you think?
I pulled out a few of my paper pads and set to work on coming up with a design.  So here is my take on the color challenge. I just could not help adding little elements as I worked through this card. The little dots are ones I made in the oven.

I hope you will join us over at Reverse Confetti!

Just a little "Wish" for the best!

I had to make a little retirement card this  weekend and the request was for flowers.  I chose this cute little print in coral and jade and happened to have the same color of flowers to mix in.  Oh and the gemstones, gotta have a little bling!

Happy Graduation

Just a little starstruck number I made for a graduate.  The little tab at the top pulls out and you can put a gift card in it- cute huh?   I have my own graduate and already 4 graduate party invites.... so lets see how fast I can get some of these cards done.  I will tell you it has been a little bit of a struggle with all that is going on (preparing for graduation, work, the holiday).  So wish me luck!

Have a great week!

Unlock Your Future

Hello all my friends.  Today is kind of a sad day for me as this will be my last post for Gina's Designs.  I have really enjoyed this team as the product is a little different than what I was used to, the products are very nice quality and very versatile as well.  And most of all, Gina is such a generous owner and is eager to work with the design team to let them give ideas and design things with her.  So I will miss this team.....  but real life has gotten into the way of being able to keep up with things and so I just need to take care of some things at home and not have to feel committed to designing- now if I can just make myself create.

I digress here.... you all did not come here to hear all this stuff.  So on to the project which is a graduation  card box.  I had been seeing these with flowers and my first thought was to use the graduation set which is a set that I had asked Gina to design for us and then Heidi's stars, which I designed and Gina put into work for me (and I adore them!).  I did this one in Red and Black for my son's graduation as these are his school colors.  The graduation items I spray painted and the stars i used some adirondeck paint.
Here is a closer picture of the box using the graduation hat and a little stickle on the tassle!  I also added a few little twirlies that are just cardstock rolled around a pencil- I thought it was cute to add the little extra fillers.

Feeling a little Pink and Orange

Hello everyone!  It was a great Memorial Day weekend here, my son was home from college and so we just did some "hanging" around and then went to a museum and today, we did some grilling.  It was so sad to see him leave.  This week is all about preparing for graduation next week. So I am trying to get a few posts ready.

May14ColorChallenge
So I wanted to get back to participating in the Reverse Confetti Challenge and it is the color challenge right now.  Once again- a challenge with these colors for me but they are beautiful together don't you think?   Stamp is also RC.
Feel free to come and join us!

A little China...... Cabinet

 Good Day my friends!!
Today's project from Gina's Designs is a new little china cabinet and it is A-dorable!  It is made with a hard board and so it was easy for me to use my American Chalk paint on it.  I have been wanting to do a project with it and this worked perfect- the small version of my ideal little cabinet.  The doors open and there are 2 shelves in there to store little items on it.
On the bottom are 3 little drawers that are sturdy and open and can actually be used for storage (imagine that!).  I got these little drawer pulls that are actually brads- aren't they perfect for the distressed cabinet?  I adore it.

Lovely

Just wishing you a lovely spring day.......... and hoping you are having a wonderful one at that!

You know, the REAL paper cards!

Project number one is a card.  My son is a pilot so as soon as I saw this cute litte (masculine) airplane I knew I had to make a card to mail out to him.  So back up a few weeks and he and I were talking about making a card that was black, had clear embossing and then one white object on it.  So this is my take on our discussion for him.
I thought I needed to start working on graduation cards since this will be a big year for graduates with our friends and family.   So this is the first one I made- kept it simple but fun I think.  The frame is just cut out of red cardstock.  The cap is chipboard that I painted black and then covered with glaze to give it a little sheen: little red stickles on the tassle.

This graduation set is so perfect this time of year to be making graduation invites and cards- check them out!

Whimsical Wishes

Happy Wednesday!
I was working on a bunch of birthday cards for my "stash" and this is one that I made this weekend.  I just love the black and white with the addition of colors thrown on the front of it all.  Kind of gives it a vintage feel I think but overall fun!

Have a great rest of your week!

Moments Like This

Hello  everyone!  Today's project is a little Project Life double page.  Some of you may have seen that Gina's Designs has come out with some great chipboard embellishments, project life cards as well as organization tools!

The page on the left lower card is a MOMENT card.  In this page I used another sentiment card behind it but it could easily be used in front of a picture that was highlighting a specific moment.  I am trying to get some of my graduation pages ready for pictures to be added for my son.

This is another of the little project life die cut cards- again I took one of my graduation cards with the diploma on it and used the chipboard card to highlight it.  I just love that little scroll there in the top corner!

Heart Wall Art

A key to the journey of our lives.  When I got this from Gina I was a little perplexed on what I would do with it.  I wanted to make something that I would be able to use in my home, a little addition of "steampunk" and vintage together.

I started with the chipboard key and painted the entire key with grey paint.  I then took the steampunked/gear heart (the top piece) and painted it yellow.  Once all the pieces were dry I then took individual gears and painted them gold and attached them randomly over the heart.  I then used the wings and a couple of gears to accentuate the middle point

The vintage lace was threaded with a gold ribbon and the word journey along with the key were added.

Now it is something I can hang in the house with a little extra flair!

Just Rite Two...

Another "krafty" card for the Just Rite Challenge this month.  I showed the first one earlier and I could not stop at one so this is my second one.  The first one didn't seem to have enough kraft on it- this one I added a little more (or shall I say let it show)

Just Rite One.....

Happy Weekend!
Today I took some time to make a few birthday cards and also this friendship card.  The Just Rite Challenge is to use Kraft paper and so this is the card.  I pulled out a new paper pad as well and added a few of my wild orchid flowers.  The Friendship blooms sentiment comes from the JustRite set by that name.

Reverse Confetti April

I hope you all had a lovely Easter Holiday Weekend!  We were blessed to have beautiful weather and yummy food.  So once my dinner was in the oven, everyone else was still sleeping and so I decided to head on down to my craft room and work on my Reverse Confetti  Color Challenge.  At first quite honestly I was skeptical of the colors......

These are definitely not colors that I would naturally put together but I pulled out a few of my paper pads and low and behold I was able to pull some together! The sketch is something that I put together with a few "ideas" rolling around in my head.

I used the RC die Love Note and Stamp Set Arrows N Elements.  The little flowers I am not sure where they came from but I had them in my stash so I am thinking Wild Orchid.  And now that the card is done- I really do like the colors together!  What do you think?

Have a great week!

Happy EASTER!

So this week I thought I would make a little spring project that will also fit for this weekend's EASTER celebration.   I had these candy tubes and of course some jelly beans and they fit so well with the dangling spring sentiments and embellishments in the spring shape set over at Gina's Designs.

I painted all the pieces first with adirondak paints and then used a speckled stamp for the umbrella and an eraser for the boot!  Aren't they cute?  I just attached them to the ribbon and they hang down like charms.  :)

JR Challenge. some masking

Today's card is made for the Just Rite challenge.  We were asked to use the masking technique and so I started with the Have Courage sentiment and then made a mask to fit over it, stamping the ribbon over the top.  I wanted this card to be soft and pretty; to give to a friend who is going through a rough time.  I hope you will join the challenge if you have some time.

Seaside Escape

Hello!!  So today's project is a little different don't you think?  The base of the project is the Gina's Designs Spool  At first i was not sure what to do with it and then i went through all the chipboard scenes I had  and the beach is where I wish I was now- so here it is.
The spool was coated with modge podge and then I covered it with coarse sand.  Then I took all the little pieces and started painting them.  Lets see what there is here, first is the little adirondeck chair surrounded by shells and flowers.  Look at the little lobster!   In the background is the white weathered fence with the life saver hanging on it surrounded by some tall grass.  Atop the entire spool is a lighthouse ... beckoning you to come and join us on the beach!
Come join us for some sunshine and sand!
