Keeping an eye out.............

Ladies, I am sorry that I am showing another PM image/card but I had a busy weekend and I am still not recovered from last week let alone the amusement park rides. Geesh...... do those kids not know I am now 40 years old? Do they care? The Fright Zones were fun b/c I could walk through them but dang, now my hips are tired, I had to hot tub it to relax and go back out at 9pm to midnight! All in all, it was a great day with the boys.
Now for this card, this paper was sent to me so I do not know whose it is, I mounted it on barely banana and used Real Red. I actually sold a couple of these already, I think that they are so innocent and with the scriptures work well for many occasions. I used my copics again for coloring it and am thrilled with the outcomes.
I promise- no precious moment this next time and I hope you all have a FAB week! Check back Wednesday and I will do what I can to post something different and exciting.

The soul............

I know I have been away and what a week (again!) You all probably think that I gave up posting but I have not: just very busy. So, let me show you a couple cards that I made prior to all this chaos! This one is "Eyes upon Jesus" , one of my precious moments that I just love. The red check is one that someone sent to me so not sure who makes it, the rest is SU brocade blue and real red. I used my treading water punch and one of my cuttlebug embossing folder as well as the nesties rectangles. I colored the image with my copics. I actually love the way the bucket came out but it took me a few tries at it. I may add some stickles to give the water a little shimmer as well but otherwise I love this little card.
We are off to Cedar Point tomorrow, taking the boys and each of them is bringing a friend. We are going to stay the night and do the Hallo-weekend gig- staying at the park for the "spooky night" rides until midnight! I will try and post later this weekend or Monday at the latest. Thanks to all of you for your wonderful comments.

Fall into "Spring"

Oh boy- what a week ladies! I feel like I went around the world and back. I was only gone overnight but boy it whipped my butt! I then organized and hosted a golf outing for 60 golfers today, well the organization took place over the last 5 months and all culminated into the day today! We had the most beautiful day, just slightly warm and sunny! I think that everyone had a blast- beautiful course and lots of fun. But I will say- I am relieved it is over. Oh and did I mention that I hosted a party as well? I have not done anything for my friends and customers all summer long- thought it was time I did.

This is the fall card we made using autumn harvest. We stamped the image in stazon on water paper and then colored with pumpkin ink and marker. I like to get them comfortable using different techniques and tools and so we used the aquapainter. I love the look of watercoloring and it truly is easy. We used pumpkin pie, mustard and olive with some chocolate in there... .. uh, that pretty much describes the BESTEST fall combination doesn't it?

So- the next card we did because I am not a huge halloween kind of gal- oh yes there are you ladies out there that live for it and I will admit that many of those cards you all make tempt me so but physically it is not a day we celebrate or do anything. When my kids were littel I would dress em up and 5 houses later they were like, "Ok, can we go home now?" HUH? I spent all this time getting you ready, I should think not! LOL! I am not ready for Christmas so we went with spring (or end of summer blast I like to think)

This is on baha breeze which is a new stampin up color and I love it, not really a fall color but it sure is pretty. We used olive, pretty in pink, ruby red and baha breeze ink as well. It was a fun card to make- imagine 6 ladies all trying to punch out the circles, being sure they got the right size and then stamping the exact images so they could make this card. Tee hee......... I hope they didn't get too frustrated, I think not because they seemed to like the card.

I hope you enjoy the cards- I will try to post again tomorrow but it is going to be hectic. I leave for CA on Monday, stop over in Phoenix on my way home Thursday night. Then Saturday off to Cedar Point- does that sound like a full week? I will do my best though. Thanks for stopping in and don't forget me, I will be back!

Believe

Happy Saturday........ almost Sunday! These items were my projects for this evening. I got this stamp set from Stampers Anonymous after seeing Tim Holtz do a project with it last fall. And to make a long story short I have waited 10 months for it......... we won't go there. But I stamped the Santa on vanilla cardstock with permanent black, the tree with artichoke and the Believe with Ranger Fired Brick. I then took and sponged to fill all the vanilla paper except around the Santa with fired brick, mustard, old olive and cocoa. I mounted on Kraft cardstock, used a little stickles on the BELIEVE and that is it.

My second project are the tags that actually inspired me and hooked me on the stamp set. I did the stamping/sponging the same and then I took some grunge elements and embossed them with silver and attached them. The numbers are ones I got a long time ago and I can't tell you anything about them unfortunately. Won't they make wonderful gift tags for the holidays? I just love this set......... I can't wait to use it more. My youngest son tells me he would be afraid of this Santa (what?)
That is it for today- have a good one. Don't forget my blog candy a couple of posts down.

Together

This is alittle Sarah Kay card that I made last month and never got posted for you all. I colored her with my copics and I am pleased with how it came out. I think that I was going with the neutral colors when I started working on this. I love the flowers even though they are fallish, the papers are from a DCWV paper stack I do believe. I used my sizzix to punch out the flower behind the prima. The ribbon is celery from SU. The only thing that I am not crazy about is faux stitching..... I have never done this well. I popped the saying up so that it would give some dimension to the card.
Now- don't forget about my blog candy in my post from the other day, I know it is not alot but the images will be worth it. Good Luck!

Blog Candy is YUMMY!

Ok, I have been saying I need to get some blog candy up, as I hit 10,000 some time ago! So today I am going to share this little chipboard flip book with someone. Along with this you will get a pack of images which will include Sarah Kay, Magnolia's, Gruffies, House Mouse, Riley the Moose (Hannah Stamps), Whipper Snappers and Precious Moments. There will be approximately 40-50 images and I may be able to personalize some (ones that are not stamped yet) to include ones requested.

Lots of Pink

Over on Cute Card Thursday they want us to use LOTS of pink and so that is my specialty, you know how I love pink. Is this ribbon beautiful or what? I can't recall where I got this roll but it is a little wider and I love how it hangs on the card. Of course it is a magnolia...... I have not used these in a bit so thought I would share this one. The background is made with a bunch of strips of paper that I laid next to one another to look like a quilt. I just loved the colors, one of my friends showed me this technique and she is actually the one that gave me all the little strips of paper too! (thanks sue!). Hope you enjoy it...........

Welcome and Friendships!

Ok, I know, I keep changing my themes here: going from summer to Christmas but this little guy is too cute and so I had to post him. I made this one in August and I just love these precious moment stamps (they are no longer making them) and so I truly enjoy making cards with them. I did use the K&Co pink/green stack which is one of my favs. I used rose red from SU as well.

Next I have to show you, back in August I think it was (was it even earlier than that?) that I went and spent the day with Claudia? Well I have pics of us and I totally forgot to post them- so here goes (hope she doesn't get mad at me.... tee hee hee...... she shouldn't her hubby took the photo for heaven sake! Ha!!!) So this is Claudia and I.

Can you tell we were having so much fun? I think that this might have been after the kids were in bed and we were laughing and Paul came down to see what was going on. I truly enjoyed my day and look forward to getting together with her again sometime (hope she feels the same way!)

Hope you all have a fabulous rest of your weekend!

So Sweeeeeeeet!

I don't know about you all but this has been a fabulous summer here in Michigan, the weather has surely shown us what it can be like. We've had no rain in like 6 weeks, yeah- I know it is not good for the farming community but for those of us who love the heat and sun, it has been a dream. So yesterday and today it has been in the low 70's and it has rained and been a little gloomy, don't get me wrong because I know we need some relief but it also is a sign of the end of summer (along with the kids going back to school). So this card is in honor of the end of summer. This is a CC designs set and I used DCWV paper pack and layered on my celery SU paper. I colored this cute little monkey and his messy ice cream with my copics. I just love the bright colors and the summer memories. That would not be me in the tree but one of my kids! LOL. Okay, maybe I am just into sweets this week, by the looks of my cards. I bought these cute little epoxy stickers at JoAnn's this week. I had been eyeballing them for about a month and put it off cause I don't really need them but just gave in. They also remind me of my niece who is into drawing ice cream, cupcakes, etc.... and so this card I made for her. I will send it to her in the next month or so with some other goodies. I am also going to use my card scents cupcake to put in it so it smells yummy for her. The yellow paper is from the SU designer series and the red check is some that was sent to me. As you can see, I used the sentiment from the CCdesigns set as well.

BLOG CANDY: I have to share this with you, I found these sweet stamps and they are having some blog candy. Check out Spiralwhisper and see their new releases! They are so cute.

Kreativ Kristin is giving away awesome goodies! Plus look at her awesome work.

Missing You

Hey it is me! Yep, I am back from vacation and this is the perfect card to post today. It is a card that I made for.............. well this is a little confusing, it was made for my friends dog to give to her and her family when they returned from their trip to Chicago. My oldest son was "dog sitting" as you may say and so we spent a lot of time with their dog- and you could tell he missed his family so the last night I made this card to leave at their home upon their arrival. We then found out it was HIS birthday, I should have made him a doggy birthday card too~ The image is a Whipper Snapper and I used the SU designer series papers.

So anyways- a little about the vacation to Nuevo Vallarta- it was a great flight both ways, the weather was fabulous, had a few rain showers (it is their rainy season) in the evenings but it never once interrupted more than the evening uno game on the patio, which we took inside. It was so beautiful to wake to the ocean, the sunshine and the sound of the water. I just love it! I will miss it greatly and we will begin our next planning endeavor next week. So- I leave you with this picture that my son took. He spent a great deal of evenings taking pictures of the sunsets and the beach and I thought this one was pretty awesome.

I am going to get to work so I have some goodies to show you this week AND I really must put out some candy soon- don't you think?
